The Express Entry program is one of the most popular ways to migrate to Canada. It was the first immigration program to use skills and points to assess the eligibility of individuals wishing to migrate. The Express Entry Program was introduced by the federal government in January 2015 to replace the old, first come, first served process. This online Program was found to manage Canada’s immigration applications intake.
Express Entry Process
- The candidates who meet the Eligibility Criteria are required to submit an online profile known as an Expression of Interest. This profile should be created under any one of the 3 federal Canada immigration programs or it can also be from a participating provincial immigration program to the Express Entry Pool.
- After which the candidates from the pool are ranked using the Points-based system known as the Comprehensive Ranking System. The highest-ranked candidates are then considered for an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residence.
- Those selected for the ITA are required to fill the application form and pay the processing fee within 60 days. The visa processing time under this program can extend up to six months or less.
